DZI was established in 1893.
DZI is member of CMW since 1988. However, DZI has been actively engaged in ICFO’s official meetings as since 1958, including the very first international meeting of charity monitoring organizations on Oct. 23, 1957 in Bonn/Germany (West). At that time, the official German member organization was « Arbeitskreis Spendenwesen der Deutschen Gewerblichen Wirtschaft », which included major German trade associations plus DZI as expert organization.
How can I be sure that my donation is well invested? What makes a trustworthy charity? Which information helps social workers to successfully do their job?
DZI gives the answers by providing independent advice to donors as well as literature documentation and up-to-date knowledge for the social work.
